Mmm… Sunflower Seed Love & Ginger Tea

Mmm... Sunflower Seed Lettuce Wraps

Another amazing thing about working at Bridgehead is that I am constantly being exposed to the wonders that come out of our very talented kitchen. As a whole, Bridgehead focuses on environmental sustainability and included in that is a plethora of vegetarian & vegan options in the way of sandwiches, soups, salads & cookies. Recently they switched up their sandwiches and introduced a couple of new ones, included in that is the Sunflower Seed Pâté sandwich.

Holy. Effing. Yum. Yum.

Sunflower seed pâté is really not as square as it sounds. It’s basically a mixture of seeds, nuts and spices that’s been cooked into a loaf shape. Sliced up and complimented with sunflower sprouts & cashew butter, it is quite literally amazingness in a sandwich unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Since it’s launch, it’s quickly become a staff favorite, customer favorite & my favorite. The only thing about it is that it is that it’s a little dense with all the bread.

So I thought… AHA!… it needs to be made into a lettuce wrap. Which is exactly what I did. Check it out.

Nothing better than sunflower seed butter on apples, topped with raisins. My old roomate taught me this back in college. Not having any raisins, I switched it up with craisins AKA dried cranberries. Yummers!
